Grade Crossing Collision Investigation Class (GCCI)

This training was developed for the North American law enforcement community with the cooperation of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the National Sheriffs Association and Operation Lifesaver, Inc.

If railroad tracks run through your community, the potential exists for you and your officers to become involved in a specialized highway-rail grade crossing collision investigation. The Grade Crossing Collision Investigation (GCCI) course is available to help officers more effectively investigate such incidents. Classes are offered free of charge or at a nominal fee.

For more information on Grade Crossing Collision Investigation courses, contact the INOL Executive Director:  jfeder@inol.org

The RSER course is designed to provide emergency responders critical information to prepare them for responding to a railroad incident, including: safe response; knowledge of railroad electrical, fuel, and air systems; hazardous materials; identifying rolling stock; pinch points; stopping a train; high/low pressure tank cars; and other on-scene dangers. For more information on an RSER course, please contact us.
